First of all torque adjustment are repeatedly taken in the installation and maintenance process, and galvanized layer might be broken and peeled off. High temperature and moist environment will not only cause rusting on the bolt surface, it will also reduce the steel tensile strength and not easy to remove. Here are the tips on how to prevent wind tower bolt from rusting:
- Spray anti-rusting paint in the bolt holes in flange before install and replace new tower bolt.
- Install the wind bolt and ring in dried flange hole.
- Install nut and make proper pretension.
- Clean the fastening area and spray anti-rust paint
