PZC Type Sheet Pile Specification
The PZC-type sheet pile is a type of equivalent pile product of PZ sheet piles, while it is an upgraded version of PZ sheet piles. It is manufactured in a hot-rolled process with wider dimensions and lighter weight, and it has a stronger per-pound performance than PZ sheet piles in both section modulus and moment of inertia.
Scope of specification: The PZC sheet pile specification includes the following content: the model, dimensions, section properties, weight, and delivery requirements for hot-rolled Z section steel sheet piles.

Explanation of index numbers:
- W-Effective width
- H-Effective height
- T-Web thickness
PZC sheet piles naming method: PZC+ ( 18 – 48 )
Example: PZC 18, PZC 26, etc.

PZC-Type Sheet Pile Introduction
AGICO supplies 7 models of PZC-type sheet piles: PZC 12, PZC 13, PZC 14, PZC 17, PZC 18, PZC 19, PZC 26. The 3 most popular models are PZC 13 sheet pile, PZC 18 sheet pile and PZC 26 sheet pile.
Hot Sale Model – PZC 18 Sheet Pile
The PZC 18 sheet pile is the hot-selling Z sheet pile model in piling projects. Here is why it is the hottest model:

- The single pile weight of PZC 18 is approximately 75 kg/m, with a section modulus of 3753 cm³/m, covering a wide range of common working conditions. PZC 18 provides sufficient bending resistance without adding excessive steel consumption like PZC 19 or PZC 26.
- Key dimensions of PZC 18: height approx. 387 mm, width 635 mm, thickness 10 mm—offering a good balance of easy drivability, easier penetration into dense soil layers compared to PZC 26, resistance to twisting, providing greater stiffness than PZC 17, and good equipment adaptability, as most vibratory hammers and hydraulic pile drivers can handle it with ease.
Our PZC type sheet piles are manufactured to equivalent dimensions and section properties for compatibility with commonly used PZC profiles, including PZC-13, PZC-18 and PZC-26. PZC type sheet piles are not the only option; AGICO also supplies other Z sheet pile series: ZZ sheet piles, PZ sheet piles, and NZ type sheet piles. If you are looking for Z sheet piles, simply contact AGICO now for more details.
Is PZC 18 the upgraded version of PZ 18 sheet Pile
The PZC 18 sheet pile is not based on the PZ 18 sheet pile; it was specifically developed as a high-efficiency upgrade profile to the PZ 27 sheet pile. Compared to the PZ 27 sheet pile, it has a 39% wider laying width, is 24% stronger per pound, and has a higher section modulus and moment of inertia. Using PZC 18 will require fewer piles for installation and achieve lower overall steel consumption.
Traditional PZ Series vs High-Efficiency PZC Series Equivalent Sections
| Traditional PZ Series | Section Modulus (in³/ft) | Approximate Equivalent PZC Series | Section Modulus (in³/ft) | Efficiency Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PZ 18 | 18.0 | PZC 13 | 24.2 | +34% |
| PZ 22 | 22.0 | PZC 13 | 24.2 | +10% |
| PZ 27 | 27.0 | PZC 18 | 33.5 | +24% |
| PZ 35 | 35.0 | PZC 18 | 33.5 | Comparable |
| PZ 40 | 40.0 | PZC 26 | 48.4 | +21% |
| PZ 48 | 48.0 | PZC 26 | 48.4 | Comparable |
PZC Type Sheet Pile Dimension and Section Modulus
AGICO supplies PZC type steel sheet piles which are classified according to section height, including standard width of 25 in and 27.88 in, here are the PZC-type sheet pile standard dimensions, weights and cross-sectional performance parameters:
