AGICO offers customized steel structure manufacturing services for power transmission line structures in angle steel tower manufacture, angle steel tower is also applicable in many other applications. Each angle steel tower is designed and customized for a specific project. Customers shall provide the tower drawings and specifications of the fabricated parts, and our factory will complete the manufacturing and delivery. The main steel materials for the angle steel power tower are angle steel sections of Q255, Q355, and equivalent ASTM A36, ASTM A572, JIS G3101, DIN 17100, etc. For harsh environment, weathering steel grades and higher-grade steels shall be used.

Angle Steel Transmission Tower Types
AGICO can fabricate angle-steel power towers for various applications, including tension towers, transposition towers (replacing phase-difference towers on transmission lines), dead-end towers, and suspension towers. In power transmission lines, it is also classified in the following methods:
- Deviation Angle: A-type tower, B-type tower, C-type tower, D-type tower, E-type tower.
- Current Types: HVAC tower, HVDC tower, railway traction line tower.
- Current Capacity: Medium Voltage (1 kV – 33 kV), High Voltage (35 kV – 220 kV), Extra High Voltage (220 kV – 1000 kV), Ultra High Voltage (above 1000 kv)
Angle Steel Power Tower Structure
An angle steel tower for power transmission has the structural characteristic of all tower types belong to a space bent-frame steel truss tower structure, with members primarily composed of single equal-leg angle steel or composite angle steel, such as a 2- and 4-angle steel structure. There are steel power parts of the Peak of the tower, cross arm, cage of transmission tower, transmission tower body, leg of transmission tower.
Steel Element For Power Tower Manufacture
All angle steel towers consist of angle steel sections, connecting plates, structural bolts and anchor bolts, whereas the tower bases are welded from several thick steel plates with pre-drilled bolt holes. The connections between angle steel tower members relying on the structual bolts to resist shear forces, there is no need to assemble the whole tower before delivery. Hot-dip galvanizing for corrosion protection, transportation, and construction erection are extremely convenient. For towers with a nominal height below 60 m, step bolts (climbing steps) are installed on one of the main legs to facilitate access for construction and maintenance personnel climbing the tower.
